Chicken Vindaloo
75g rice
100g vegetables for sabzi


100g Chicken
40g Potato
1 Garlic clove
Pinch Fenugreek seeds
2 Red chilies
1/2 Tbsp. Vinegar
2 whole Peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
Pinch Mustard seeds
1 Whole garam masala (each)
2 grams Tamarind
1/4 Onion (chopped)
Salt – to taste.
1/4 cup Tomato puree
1/2 teaspoon Jaggery
pinch Turmeric powder
pinch Coriander seeds


1. Make a paste with the garlic cloves, fenugreek seeds, red chilies (soaked in vinegar), vinegar, peppercorns, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, mustard seeds, whole garam masala and add a little bit of tamarind, turmeric powder, onions.
2. Simmer chicken and potato pieces in water for 10 minutes in a medium flame.
3. Then, add prepared masala mix well and again put the lid on and let it cook for 10 minutes.
4. Then, add tomato puree and salt cook this for a few minutes.
5. Add jaggery, mix well and put the lid on.
6. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
