It Doesn’t Matter Which Diet You Try…As Long as It’s Scientific

You start a diet. You find you are not losing weight. Or you're losing weight, but feeling weak and unhealthy. The reason may be that your diet is not scientific.

Who likes to waste time?

No one wants to waste time, resources, and effort on a dietary approach that “might” work! So, for the best results, avoid spending on the treatments that are not rooted in science, and focus on the treatments that have proven effectiveness. 

"Proven effectiveness" DOES NOT mean something someone SAYS. Proven effectiveness means that scientists around the world have discovered that the same technique is effective.

The scientific process reveals the truth of what works, and what doesn’t.  Scientific weight management applies principles are developed by scientists who study human behaviors and dietary approaches. Scientific weight management uses those findings that demonstrate a consistent, robust, and meaningful effect on weight. Scientific weight management dictates that anything that has not proven to work, is not to be used. Thus, basing weight management on scientific, proven approaches to weight loss is superior to other strategies.

A key aspect to scientific weight management is that it is as safe as possible.

It’s very unlikely that a scientific weight management strategy, based on a experiment done by a competent and qualified scientists, would be harmful.  This is in direct contrast to many of the weight loss methods marketed that use supplements with dangerous side effects, or dehydration procedures to produce weight loss. 

Without a scientific diet, you might lose weight. But you could also lose health!

Those practicing scientific weight management will typically have a high degree of medical or health-related education and can ensure your weight loss actually improves your health.  This is important because changing body weight can have many implications for health, and not all types of weight loss will improve your health.  A professional overseeing scientific weight loss will ideally have a broad, scientific knowledge base, and should be integrating your care with other healthcare professionals.
